Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks’ Graphic Novel Has a Title!

Remember back in 2014 when Faith Erin Hicks and Rainbow Rowell announced they'd be creating a graphic novel together?

Well.

IT FINALLY HAS A TITLE.

AND CONCEPT ART.

AND A LITTLE BIT OF INFO ABOUT THE STORY FROM FAITH ERIN HICKS AND RAINBOW ROWELL.

AND WE ARE READY TO SHARE ALL OF THIS WITH THE WORLD.

Are YOU ready?

(We're really TOO EXCITED to keep it from you any longer so HERE WE GO.)

The graphic novel is called:

Pumpkinheads

According to Rainbow, "Pumpkinheads is about Deja and Josiah, two high school seniors, working their last shift at the world's greatest pumpkin patch. Josiah thinks it will just be another calm night at the Succotash Hut, but Deja has other plans: Snacks! Adventure! Talking to girls!

This is a book for people who love jokes, goats, s'mores, and getting lost in corn mazes while talking about the nature of love and friendship.

Pumpkinheads is the zaniest and zippiest book I've worked on. I just really wanted to do something joyful. And I wanted to write about fall. Most of my books take place during fall, but Pumpkinheads is big smushy love letter to the season.

I've been saving this story — and this pumpkin patch setting — for a long time. And I knew that Faith would be the perfect person to tell it with me."

And now, it's time to meet Deja and Josiah!

"I'm so excited to draw this comic!" Faith says. "Rainbow is an author whose books have made me cry twice before, and I'm not ashamed to admit I teared up at the end of reading the Pumpkinheads script. It's cute and hilarious and sweet, full of characters so alive I immediately wanted to start drawing their adventures. It's an honour to not only collaborate with one of my favourite writers, but be given the chance to draw a story so fun and engaging. I can't wait for readers to meet Deja and Josiah and the pumpkin patch."

And here's some more Deja and Josiah to tide you over until the Fall 2019 release.

TL;DR?

Don't forget to add Pumpkinheads to your Goodreads shelves and keep an eye on this blog for more info as it becomes available.
